SAP Service Delivery Manager

Geneva, Switzerland

Job description


We are looking for an experienced SAP Service Delivery Manager for an end client based in Geneva.


As a SAP delivery manager, you will act as a central coordination point between Business team, internal project teams and external stakeholders. You will lead the delivery and ongoing management of SAP services and projects, ensuring alignement with business goals, quality standards, timeline and budgets. You will play a key role in driving continuous improvement, managing change, and supporting strategic transitions in a complex SAP landscape.


Main responsibilites :

  • Serve as the primary liaison between business strakeholders, the internal SAP project team including multi-cultural teams and external partners, ensuring effective communication and alignement of objectives.

  • Lead and manage the delivery of SAP projects and services with a focus on transformation and transition initiatives.

  • Monitor the portfolio of ongoing incidents and maintain an up-to-date history of all incidents that have occurred. Ensure compliance with the incident management process and adherence to business requirements.

  • Oversee end-to-end SAP business process chains, ensuring integration across system and teams

  • Ensure effective planning, execution, and control of SAP programs (Support & Project delivery), including scope, timeline, quality and cost.

  • Maintain full responibility for SAP service delivery, including resource allocation, engagement management, and budget oversight.

  • Monitor and report on key project milestones, risks and deliverables as well as managing events and alerts.

  • Drive continous improvement initiatives by analyzing performance data, identifying improvement areas and implemting best practises.

  • Manage the change management process, ensuring a smooth transition of new or updated SAP functionalities to business users.

  • Supervise the incident portfolio, ensuring timely resolution, accurate documentation, and historical traceability of all incidents.

  • Track and verify performance indicators (KPI), ensuring compliance with SLAs, continuity of services and high customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure compliance with ITIL-based incident, change, problem management processes and alignment twith business requirements, deadlines and budgets.

  • Support responible rollouts in accordance with SAP projects methodologies (e.g. Activate).

  • Ensure the quality of deliversables through effective governance, validation and stakeholder engagement.

  • Stay informed of future SAP releases and proactively assess their impact of current business processes, providing input to impact assessments and readiness planning.

  • Identify and mitigate delivery risks early, implementing proactive solutions to avoid disruptions.

  • Produce comprehensive and timely reporting to enhance collaboration and transparency among stakeholders.

Requirements


  • Ideally a master degree in Finance, accounting or IT

  • 15+ years experience in SAP ECC6 and SAP S/HANA projects (Support & Project delivery)

  • Cross-functional knowledge of FI, CO, SD, MM, and FSCM modules

  • Excellent knowledge of ITSM / ITIL principle or equivalent certifications

  • Certification in the relevant function area of SAP is preferred

  • Ability to lead teams and develop relationships in a multicultural environment

  • Good team player and self-motivated

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English
